Love Being Me Family Holidaysfrequently asked questions
Learning that lasts after the sun tan has faded
As a working parent myself I find it hard to find time for myself to think about what I need and want right now. It’s hard to find personal and professional development time when I also want to spend time with my kids. So this is my solution: family holidays with personal development workshops included for you.
All of the 10 hour workshops cost only £200 per person on top of the cost of your stay and run for 2 hours every morning Your kids can chill, or swim or play whilst you get some much needed time for you (there is childcare if you need it).
Then you have the rest of the day to hang out, swim, walk or play, with your family and with the new friends you’ll all make on these holidays. All of the workshops are planned so you can make a 2 week break out of your trip during the school holidays.
The 3 workshops are:
Date: Easter 2016 – Monday 28th March to Friday 1st April
Relax (and make that summer feeling last the whole year long) – understand how and why you get stressed and practice loads of great practical tools to make sure that holiday feeling goes home with you.MORE INFORMATION

Everyone is welcomed
It doesn’t matter if you are gay, straight, single, coupled or grandparents … everyone is welcomed.
‘This course is for you, me, the person walking down the street, any age. I do not/did not meditate, I had not read self-help books, I just fumble along though life but this course is about empowering, ie finding ourselves (which sounds very alternative but it isn’t, don’t worry)’
Over the years I have found that holidays with other families really work for my family. The kids get to meet other kids and the adults not only get to make new friends, but get support from other parents. An African Proverb is that ‘It takes a village to raise a child’ and I certainly find it easier to parent when I have other parents and kids around.
Location Hotel Yianna / AlterEgo
Our venue on Agistri is Hotel Yianna / AlterEgo; a family business run by mum Yianna and her daughters Katerina and Vaso. They make us feel like friends rather than clients and as a parent it is lovely to feel looked after by them as it means that I get a break too.
They are great at cooking food my kids will eat and can cater for vegetarians and vegans alike. They can also arrange for pamper treatments such as massage and nails at extra cost.
Agistri is a tiny island an hour from Athens. The island is friendly and the sea is clear and within 5 minutes walk of where you will be staying. There are tavernas, a play ground, 2 football pitches, bikes to hire, shops and bakeries and swimming pools. It feels immensely safe, unhurried and welcoming. There’s no crime, and children play in the streets, pools, sea and square in lovely international mix.

The workshops are designed to give you time and tools to reflect and work out what you need and how to get it. I won’t be telling you ‘how to…’; you are the expert on your life and my job is to help you find your own solutions.
In all of the courses I’ll offer you a mixture of psychological theory, coaching questions and exercises, time to reflect, and lots of practical tools to get you thinking and changing. I know that these courses make a difference to people’s lives from the feedback I’ve had from groups before.
You may be able to claim tax relief on some of the courses as professional development.
Core conditions for each workshop are: listening to other people with full attention, non-judgemental minds and empathy, respect, support and care, honesty, a willingness to reflect, speaking for ourselves (using ‘I’), turn taking, confidentiality and self-care.
